There are so many cute and fun baby toys out there! But they can get so expensive, especially when you start to look at Montessori/learning toys. While some are totally worth the price, many are super easy to DIY. I love to make my daughter her own toys so she can have all the toys I’d like her to have. It’s also super fun to make these toys. Most of them can be completed in an afternoon (or even during an afternoon nap). Here’s a few tutorials for DIY toys:

Coin Drop

This super easy toy is great for older babies and toddlers. Its a quick craft and doesn’t require any skill to make.

Crochet Ball

This one is great for babies and toddlers alike. You do need to know how to crochet to make this, but it is still a simple pattern.

Finger puppet

These are super fun puppets that babies and toddlers will love! It doesn’t require any sewing skills to make.

Tissue box toy

This toy is great for older babies and toddlers. It does require some sewing skills, but it’s very minimal.

Quiet book

A quiet book isn’t quite a toy, but I had to include it since it’s just so cute. You do need to be a fairly proficient sewing and a full quiet book does take some time to make, but it can provide hours of quiet play.

I hope you enjoy these DIY toys. Have fun playing with your babies and toddlers!
