Crochet baby beanies are so fun and easy to make! I decided to make this beanie with a cute little detail at the bottom for my baby. This hat is very easy and quick to make. It took maybe an hour or so to complete, so if you are making lots, this baby beanie is a great choice. You can also try out my winter hat with ear flaps.
Materials
H hook
Small amount of yarn. I used a soft bamboo yarn.
Pattern
Round 1: Create a magic circle, chain 2, then crochet 8 double crochets join to chain with a slip stitch (8)
Round 2: Ch 2, 2 double crochet in each stitch, then join to chain with a slip stitch (16)
Round 3: Ch 2, * double crochet in first stitch, 2 double crochet in next stitch. Repeat from * around, then join to chain with a slip stitch. (24)
Round 4: Ch 2, *double crochet in next 2 stitches, 2 double crochet in next stitch, repeat from * around. Then join to chain with a slip stitch (32)
Round 5: Ch 2, *double crochet in next 3 stitches, 2 double crochet in next stitch, repeat from * around. Then join to chain with a slip stitch (40)
Round 6: Ch 2, *double crochet in next 4 stitches, 2 double crochet in next stitch, repeat from * around. Then join to chain with slip stitch(48)
Round 7-11: Ch 2, double crochet in each stitch around, next join to chain with slip stitch (48)
Round 12: Ch 2, *double crochet in next stitch, chain 1, skip next stitch, repeat from * around. Then join to chain with slip stitch. (24 – don’t count chain)
Round 13: Ch 2, double crochet in each stitch and each chain all the way around (48)
Round 14: Ch 2, double crochet in each stitch around, join to chain with slip stitch (48)
Finish off and weave in yarn.
