I don’t have many Valentine’s decorations so I headed to the dollar store to see what I could make. I was able to make this Valentine’s wreath from a few supplies from the dollar store, some hot glue and ribbon I had at home. This craft only took an hour and it was so easy to do.

Materials

3 packs of foam flowers

Wooden heart cutout (the one I have is about 9 inches

Ribbon (about 1/4″ thick) choose something stiff/ sturdy

Hot glue

I ended up choosing a different ribbon that I thought matched better

How to make your Valentine’s wreath

Starting in one corner, place hot glue on the bottom of your rose and start gluing to the wooden heart.

Keep placing roses down, make sure that they are close to each other so you can’t see any of the wood underneath.

Once you have placed roses all over, look at the heart and look for any places where the flowers aren’t as close as they should be and stick any extra flowers in. (I only ended up with one extra flower after this, so really pack them in)

I noticed a few spots with big gaps like this so I placed flowers in each of the spots to cover them up

If there are any spots where there’s still a bit of space, fluff the petals and use a bit more hot glue to glue the petals in place.

Next, wrap the ribbon around the outside of the heart. Place glue along the entire outside edge of the heart and line the bottom of the ribbon along the bottom of the heart. This will make the edges look nice and also provide a nice border for your wreath.

Cut 5″off your ribbon and turn it into a loop. Glue the loop to the back of your wreath so you can hang it up.

The finished Valentine’s wreath!
